Learning Objectives | |
The main learing objective as a group, was to design a WAN connectivity for the Washigton School District. This course was the continuation of the Cisco Networking Academy, Level III where we learned to design the LAN of one School. On this course (Level IV), we had to expand the School LAN and re-adjusted to include 32 schools, connected by three regional WAN facilities.
After much deliberation, we decided to meet the requirements of the proposal without considering cost and employ redundancy at the MDF with switching technology.
The project as described required us to do much search regarding hardware to determine what equipment is available and how it is to be configured. The lead was taken by Tailoc Hoang who provided with all routers and switches configuation and CISCO Equipment spreadsheet and their cost. Wilfredo provided to Tailoc with all 32 Schools LAN survey to estimate the numbers of switches and routers required.
