Washignton School District

                             Conclusion

This design  was specifically selected to meet the needs of the proposed requirements. We could have made the design significantly less expensive. However, we would have not meet the  requirements and we would have not learned as much about the different hardware and design options available.

The desision of using shared  technology (HUBS) in all classrooms  could have reduced the total proposal by 1  million dollar  and meeting the minimum specified bandwith of 1.25Mbps, but for future growth, the school will have to invest in Equipment. So, we decided to used Switch Technology in the classrooms with redundancy links to each intermediate distribution facility. At the MDF, Redundancy was chosen so that Classron will not be down.

We did attempt to keep the cost to a minimum while providing 100% of the minimum requirements to meet the stated specifications.  All cisco equipment was budgeted with a 40% discount.  We tried to keep the design simple so that in the future maintenance is easy.

The Group started with  9 members and finished with only 6 members. During the course of the project some members did not demostarted  motivation towards the the conclusion of  the Project.

As team member, I asked the manager to write this conclusion and the Pro's and Con's of this project  without a success.  I personally want to thank each individual for their support and the tasks completed even if this was done at the end of the project.

The project reflects a lot of effort of  one individual in taking the lead  to create the framework for the WAN connecticity.  His Name is Tailoc Hoang.

For those that hung in and endured to the end,  I thank you for your contribution towards the end of the project.  Most of  this WEB/LAN/WAN project was done by Tailoc Hoang and Wilfredo Henriquez, we are the individual that has spent far more hours than any other team member.

Wilfredo H. (member of this group)

The members that have finished and endured to the end are:

John Cung (manager), Wilfredo Henriquez,  Tailoc Hoang, Mike Crowley (co-chair manager), Thampi Kuruliva,  Brian Nichulson
